I missed this Acer emachine D732Z laptop of mine since it was flooded a few months ago. This is actually my first laptop that’s why it has a sentimental value to me. Its just too bad that this was one of the unfortunate thing that was ruined when typhoon Sendong hit our place.

When we noticed that the water rised up so fast, my hubby hurriedly placed the laptop at the top of our closet which is near on our alcove and we didn’t expect that the water leveled on our attic that’s why my poor lappy got soaked in a water full of mud.

As of now I do have a netbook but my daughter is using it. Ive been thinking of buying a laptop again for myself. I just let my hubby look for the best acer laptops available here in our place since I don’t know much about those certain specs. 

I brought my old laptop back to the computer store where I bought a few weeks ago. It was severely damaged because it was fully covered with mud when it was flooded two months ago. Good thing we did not pay for check up fees since the laptop is still in warranty.

However, when the technician tried to check the laptop, he found out that its systemboard or the motherboard got damaged as well as its hard disk. It also needs a new battery replacement and adapter. The LCD needs to be replaced too since the water went inside the screen.

I asked how much would it cost to replace the damaged parts, he said that it would be better if we will just buy a new one like the cheap Toshiba laptops available on sale in their store. It would cost us a lot so I think he is right. Well, I better sell this dead laptop of mine since I know a store who buys damaged laptops.
