Wednesday Whites: Me on Stage

Our church music team was invited to perform at our fellow affiliate church for their Family Camp Meeting event last Friday. That’s me wearing my white long blouse with white belt. I just love this blouse! It was actually given to me by my mom.
We really had an awesome night of praising and worshiping God at that time.
An Important Equipment for our Concert Performances
We just came from a live praise and worship concert held at our affiliate church and we really had a blast as we enjoy God’s presence. Everything was perfect except for our video recording since we are only using my digital camera. We had a problem regarding the lights because the recorded video was so dark.
If only we have a complete audio and professional video equipment then we could have that perfect video recording using high tech, clear and bright videos. We hope by God’s grace, we will be able purchase one of those complete range of equipment along with radio microphones and stage lighting equipment. All these multifunctional equipment have high definition wide screen display, stereo speakers and AV inputs. They can function with sophisticated architectural setups and are ideal to be used in parties, weddings and most specially for concert performances like what we did.
Our On-Going Prayer and Fasting for 3 Days
We are now on our 2nd day for our Prayer and Fasting together with our fellow church members. We started yesterday morning where we abstain from eating food. Only water, juice or coffee. Some of our church members specially the young people are new on these so we allowed them to take a partial fasting where they can only eat once a day. But for us who are leaders in the ministry, we will do the 3 day fast since we do have an earnest prayer that we want to fulfill by God’s grace. We want to focus on prayer and fellowship with God by spending more time with Him as we rely on God’s strength, provision and wisdom.
For those of you who wants to know what prayer and fasting is, the purpose of Christian fasting is actually taking our eyes off the things of this world and focus our thoughts on God. We are not to spend time in prayer and fasting in order to lose weight, but we want to gain a deeper fellowship with God. It is through prayer and biblical fasting that we can focus better on Christ. In the book of Matthew 6:16-18 says that “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”
If we are asking for something that is not honoring to God or not God’s will for our lives, God will not give what we ask for, whether we fast or not. How can we know God’s will? God promises to give us wisdom when we ask. James 1:5 tells us, “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”
Boys over Flowers
No I’m not talking to the popular story of an extraordinary girl and four gorgeous and influential guys of F4 in a Korean version, Boys Over Flowers but I am talking literally of our photos below where me and my sister in law are the only flowers among the boys. ^_^
This photo was taken when we had a night of Jam for Jesus and Film Showing event which was held at our church.
We all had fun together with these young people who are on fire for God and all are happy in serving the Lord.
I am linking this entry for Wordless Wednesday
