I really enjoyed watching Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition on TV. Whenever I have my free time, I watch this competitive cooking game show that features kiddie cooks aged 8 to 12. Cooking reality shows like this have always amazed me.

Shows like Iron Chef, Top Chef, Masterchef leave me in awe thinking that there are so many fantastic cooks out there. My mind was also blown away seeing these young little Chefs no older than twelve years old cooking intricate dishes like it was a normal, everyday thing.

I was inspired by these kids to cook and make my own special dish. How I wish I could be like them who can cook extraordinary dishes. Well, I have my cook book, personalized aprons and some ingredients here so I better try some of the dishes made by the kiddie cooks from Junior MasterChef’s website.

Musical Instruments for Our Church

We are so thankful that God restored some of our musical instruments in the church. All of our musical instruments were ruined after the flood and we begin to pray for these things to be restored. No money from us involved in it but it is from the people who were touched by God and was being used as an instrument to buy some of the damaged instruments like keyboard, bass amplifier and speakers.

We continue praying that there will be more coming like joey jordison drum set, electric guitars, amplifiers and its gadgets until it will be complete and also that we need many sets more for our other areas. When we fully trust God totally in every need then He will surely provide it.

The photo above is the entrance road to our Barangay. Its about 15 minutes away from the city. Who would have thought that this hillside Barangay of ours was one of the affected places during typhoon Sendong. I only saw the horrible devastation and typhoon aftermath on TV but I never thought that it could also happen to us. All of us ran for our lives as we are trying to save ourselves and our family as well.

A month has passed already but the memory still lingers in our mind. However, we are trying to go with our lives. I can see some stores and market stalls are opening their businesses already. Its a good sign that we are slowly recovering from the tragedy as we move on after the storm.

A Perfect Match for Formal Wear

A week ago, we had a birthday celebration of our beloved church Pastor. Me and my family together with our fellow church members made a surprise birthday serenade for him when we went to their house at 4:00 a.m. in the morning. He was so glad when he saw all of us went there. We surprised him with a birthday banner and a simple cake.

I wasn’t able to gave him a gift since I was busy and I haven’t got the time to look for a special birthday gift but I’m actually planning to give him a titanium cufflinks because he loves to wear formal clothes and I think it would perfectly fit him. This is gonna be a perfect match for his tuxedo and long sleeve polo shirt.

The Water Line

If you can clearly see this picture, you will noticed the brown colored water line above the wall where these painted computer with hand print was placed. That is the level of the water where our house got hit by the flash flood a month ago. That’s only twice the length of a finger span and its our alcove or attic already. You could imagine the deep water level and why all our things got flooded and damaged from the flood.

This was from our commercial house bedroom where we usually stay and sleep. We were at the rooftop when the flash flood happened. We jumped from one rood to another and found a two story house where we stayed and waited for the flood to stop. It was such a terrible and horrifying experience for us but we thanked God that my family and I survived the tragedy. We are thankful for our lives which was still preserved by God.
